What is RootWarden

RootWarden is a hack and slash tower defense game where the goal is to fend off waves of vermins and rebuild the mother deity that sits in the middle of it all.

Players must eliminate vermin and collect the dropped essence, then use that to create plants on areas around. Not only are they rebuilding the area, but the plants will also assist the player in fighting the waves of enemies.

Gameplay

Starting out in a empty area with the mother deity in the middle, few vermins spawn. The player must eliminate vermins to collect their essence.

With some essence gained, the player then receive a random seed to be planted in any of player desired spot and assist them in combat. 

These plants give buffs to the player, hinder enemies, or directly attack vermins within their range.

The Mother Deity and Plants

1. The Mother

The Mother Deity is the core of the area. Starting off small and looking distressed, she will progressively appear to (re)grow and restore back to a greater and colorful being.

2. Healing Fruit

Occasionally drops fruit/orbs that heal the player for a certain amount.

3. Hasty Fruit

Drops fruits/orbs that speeds up the player’s movement and attacks.

4. Raging Seed

boosts the player’s attack (higher damage output) while in its AoE.

Enemies

1. Vermins

Spiky, four legged, and feral, these are the adversaries the player faces.
